크로스베이스볼 출장일기 57일차 (08/03/21 - Day 3 Review with Coach Koo)
Hobbs, New Mexico
Today was a full day of driving to Hobbs, New Mexico to meet with Coach Robbins of New Mexico junior college in the morning and then meeting with Coach Cook of New Mexico Military Institute.
The drive to Hobbs was quite a pleasant drive with nothing but farmland to look at while the sun was rising. As I arrived in Hobbs, I soon realized that NMJC has also made some huge upgrades since I last visited years ago. I believe that for a junior college, NMJC may have one of the best baseball environments in the country. I was blown away at the facilities and the resources that were available to the players. Coach Robbins was very open to recruiting internationally and I believe that we will soon have our first Kross baseball player to play at NMJC very soon!
As I arrived back at NMMI, BY was finishing up his own day full of orientation. He sat in for hours on his own learning about what school will be about for the year. After he was free to go, we went to Target to grab some school supplies that he needed before he went into the dorms tomorrow. After we got back, it was time to meet Coach Cook as it was BY’s first baseball team meeting. Coach Cook had nothing but great things to say about BY and also expects to do well here at NMMI. It was so thankful of Coach Cook to take a chance recruiting from Korea and we look forward to continuing this relationship for years to come. Coach Cook was also very open to the idea of visiting Korea one day and we hope that we can make that happen sooner rather than later!
We grabbed a very late dinner after the meeting with some wings as it was BY’s last night before matriculation tomorrow. It will be the beginning of his independent college life and for him to begin his journey on his own. I believe that BY will be nothing but successful!
Tune in tomorrow to see my visit to my old school OOO College as well as OOO College!
Let’s Kross Baseball Together!
