크로스베이스볼 출장일기 56일차 (08/03/21 - Day 2 Review with Coach Koo)
1891 New Mexico Military Institute
Today we had the privilege of meeting many of the leaders of the college and began the international students orientation. They had very nice things to share to the parents and students and how they are willing to ensure the best education. They made a very good first impression. First thing in the morning, BY was also able to get his first dose of his COVID vaccine. He has had no issues thus far.
In the afternoon, we went on the group tour and enjoyed the history of the college since it began in 1891. The campus was absolutely fascinating as it felt like a military base. A lot of the students who are called ‘cadets’ seem to be resemble military officers. The people of the college were some of the most friendly and kindest people that I have ever met. They kept insisting that BY be more outgoing as he seemed very shy amongst his peers. On the other hand, he has kept telling me that he is very very excited to play baseball.
After the tour, we quickly visited the NMMI Baseball field. With its renovations and upgrades, it is such a wonderful field. BY said that he has never seen such a nice college baseball field before. Coach Cook was unavailable and will be present tomorrow at the team meeting.
We finished the day off with a full body workout and then a protein heavy dinner before calling it a day! Tomorrow is a full day of orientation for BY and a day of travelling for myself as I will visit New Mexico Junior College two hours away.
Tune in tomorrow to see how BY spent his first day alone and what NMJC has to offer!
